ROGUE AI / FREE OFFLINE GUIDE / 2026-10-10
Keep human control.
A practical plan for suspected device compromise and lost trusted communications.
Preserve a way to reach emergency help. This guide does not detect an AI incident, pause applications or change device settings. An outage alone does not establish its cause.
Keep people connected.
Preserve a trusted way to reach help before isolating a device.
- If someone is in immediate danger, use an available trusted phone to contact local emergency services. Follow current local instructions.
- Write down an out-of-area contact, a next check-in time and two meeting places. Keep personal contact details on paper or in your protected notebook.
- Confirm that your household knows the plan. A network outage or unusual answer from an AI system does not establish its cause.
Verify the claim.
An alarming image or confident message is a reason to check, not proof of an incident.
- Record what you actually observed and when. Keep the original message or file if it is safe to do so; separate observations from assumptions.
- Use a known official source or an independently obtained phone number. Do not use a recovery link or number supplied by the suspicious message.
- Check current notices from your local authority or service provider. Historical infrastructure locations and dramatic illustrations cannot report a live incident.
Set a clear boundary.
Choose what stays connected. Review the switches yourself.
- Save this guide before disconnecting. A website bookmark does not create an offline copy. Keep emergency calling available through a trusted device.
- If containment is needed, review Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and any Ethernet cable separately. Airplane Mode alone is not proof that every radio is off.
- Review the device guide below. Rogue AI cannot change your device radios or operating-system settings, detect malware, or establish that a device is safe.
Recover from a trusted device.
Keep account recovery separate from a device you suspect is compromised.
- Use a separate trusted device and the service’s known official sign-in page for sensitive account recovery. Seek qualified support when compromise is suspected.
- Follow the service’s recovery process, review active sessions and available multifactor settings, and revoke access that you do not recognize.
- Store recovery details securely. Keep passwords, recovery codes and radio keys out of community posts, public exports and this browser checklist.
Restore trusted updates.
Application, store and system updates have separate controls.
- Use official device guidance to review temporary update choices. A web application cannot block operating-system updates or an update already downloaded.
- A temporary pause is a containment choice, not a long-term security strategy. Restore trusted security updates during recovery.
- Follow official recovery guidance, review queued work before sending it and reconnect deliberately. Completing this checklist does not certify a clean device.
Keep the essentials usable.
Maps, water, food and backup power support you when trusted communications fail.
- Inventory the supplies you actually have. Check household, accessibility, infant, pet and prescribed-care needs using current qualified guidance.
- Open your saved maps and guide files before relying on them. Check dates, coverage and the software or adapters needed to read them.
- Test familiar backup equipment safely in ordinary conditions. A LoRa setup guide is a reference; it does not provide live pairing or encrypted voice through this website.
Practise, then improve.
Make a short rehearsal and identify the single points of failure.
- Choose a safe practice window with your household. Reopen the downloaded guide, locate your paper contacts and confirm the agreed meeting points.
- Review which steps depend on one account, device, charger or network. Arrange a practical alternative and record what still needs checking.
- Share general lessons on the community board without personal addresses, private contacts or recovery information. Date your plan and review it after changes.
iPhone / iPad / manual settings
Connections
- To isolate: turn on Airplane Mode. Ordinary cellular calling and messaging stop.
- Open Settings → Wi-Fi → Off. Then Settings → Bluetooth → Off. Verify each switch.
- To keep cellular calling available: leave Airplane Mode off, and review Wi-Fi and Bluetooth separately.
Temporary updates
- App updates: Settings → Apps → App Store → App Updates. Older iOS versions may list App Store directly.
- System updates: Settings → General → Software Update → Automatic Updates. Review available download and installation switches.
- Restore trusted updates during recovery. Previously downloaded updates and system protections have their own behavior.
Control Center Wi-Fi and Bluetooth buttons generally disconnect; use Settings to turn the radios off. this website cannot operate these switches for you.
Android / Samsung / manual settings
Connections
- To isolate: turn on Airplane Mode in Quick Settings or Settings → Connections / Network & internet.
- Check Wi-Fi → Off and Bluetooth → Off separately. Android may remember radios enabled in Airplane Mode.
- To keep calling: leave Airplane Mode off. Review Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and mobile data in your device’s Settings; cellular calling remains a connection.
Temporary updates
- Play Store → profile → Settings → Network preferences → Auto-update apps. Review the available options.
- On Samsung, review Settings → Software update → Auto download over Wi-Fi if your version offers it. Other Android devices use different menus.
- Some critical Play security fixes can occur regardless of auto-update settings. Restore trusted updates and keep Play Protect enabled during recovery.
Menu names vary by manufacturer and Android version. Verify the switches yourself; this website does not silently control them.
Windows desktop / manual settings
Connections
- Save or open the offline guide first. A website bookmark alone is not an offline copy.
- Windows: Start → Settings → Network & internet. Review Wi-Fi, Airplane Mode and any Ethernet cable.
- Check Bluetooth separately in Bluetooth & devices. Windows can remember Wi-Fi or Bluetooth enabled in Airplane Mode.
Temporary updates
- Windows: Settings → Windows Update → Pause updates provides a temporary pause.
- Browser, Microsoft Store and other applications have separate update settings. this website does not control them.
- Restore trusted security updates during recovery. Disconnecting Ethernet is a separate manual action.
On a Mac or other desktop, use that system’s own network settings. These manual instructions do not isolate the computer or change its connections.
